About The Whole Dog

Let me begin by thanking you for visiting our site and making a conscious decision to care for your dog more naturally and to choose products that are proven to be healthy and benifical to your dog.

I am thrilled to tell you a little bit about the inspiration for my company, philosophy and mission to empower you with practial understanding of how to have a healthier, happier and longer lived dog. I understand that this is a joint effort and that together we can bring whole health to your dog.

What is in a name?
Our name, The Whole Dog, was inspired by my desire to see dogs living in the whole health God intended them to. This whole health is brought about by a "holistic" or "natural" life style" that addresses the entire or "whole" dog... mind, body and spirit.

Who are we?
The Founder of The Whole Dog is Dr Jeannie Thomason.

Dr Jeannie is a Veterinary Naturopath, an Animal Nutrition Consultant, Natural Pet Care Educator and a Natural Rearing Dog Breeder. Dr Thomason has dedicated herself to extensive education and research; as well as an exploration of hands-on experiences in practicing animal nutrition and natural health with her naturally reared dogs for last 20 years as well as with those seeking a healthier lifestyle and longer life for thier pets.

Her true love for animals is beyond a passion; It is a way of life! Dr Jeannie is known to colleagues and friends as one who "practices what she preaches", and has positively influenced thousands of dog owners and grateful dogs themselves, sharing her knowledge of natural and holistic dog care.

"I believe that the health and overall potential of our dogs, rests on the cornerstones of nutrition, emotional wellbeing, fitness and a clean, toxin free living environment. Once these are all aligned we have not only a vibrant, fully realized animal, but a beginning - a framework for developing more of their abilities and extended length and quality of life. Aferall, health is not the absence of disease ... it is a universal good condition on all levels--physical, emotional and mental."

Instead of just looking for ways to cure a health or behavior problem once it arises, it is my goal to share ways of preventing problems in the first place.
